- Ready
for use straight from the container.
- DRYING
TIME. Weldbond becomes tacky quickly and will dry within
the hour, depending on temperature and humidity. Weldbond
is fully cured when the bond is clear (transparent). The
longer it’s left, the stronger the bond.
- SURFACE
PREPARATIONS: Ensure all surfaces are clean and free from
dirt, oil and rust.
ANY
POROUS TO NON-POROUS APPLICATION (i.e. WOOD TO METAL):
Spread thin film on both surfaces. Leave open for 1 or 2 minutes
to become tacky and slightly transparent, then squeeze both
surfaces together with slight turning motion. The longer this
is left to cure the stronger the bond.
ANY TWO NON-POROUS SURFACES
(i.e. GLASS TO GLASS):
Spread thin film on both surfaces. Leave open for 2-3 minutes,
then squeeze surfaces together with a slightly turning motion.
The longer this is left to cure the stronger the bond. When
cured the bond is clear (transparent). A high temperature
and low humidity speeds curing.
ANY TWO POROUS SURFACES (i.e.
CHINA, POTTERY, CERAMICS):
Best results: Use a sealing mixture of 5 parts water 1 part
Weldbond. First seal both surfaces with this mixture, allow
to dry (approx. 1 hr.) then spread thin film of concentrated
Weldbond over both surfaces and clamp lightly or tape until
fully cured.
* EXCEPTIONS: Some types of plastic, rubber and cast
metals, i.e. polyethylene, unbacked vinyl, p.v.c. and teflon.
** NON-TOXIC as defined in the Federal Hazardous Substances
Act.
WORKING TEMPERATURE:
For maximum performance use at temperatures above 50ºF
or 10ºC and on surfaces below 200ºF or 92ºC. Protect contents from freezing.
NOTE: Do not use when bonding containers designed for use
with or subject to hot liquids.
