WELDBOND for Stained Glass

To obtain the maximum adhesion we recommend the following steps. Mix 5 parts water to 1 part Weldbond. We'll use this as a sealer to seal the sides of glass you wish to bond together. Let dry for approximately 1.5 hours. Use WELDBOND full strength and bring your pieces together. Let dry for 24 hours. WELDBOND will dry crystal clear (within two weeks). If you need to remove the WELDBOND submerge in water for 24 to 48 hours.

In order for Weldbond to dry crystal clear, please follow these directions. When glueing stain glass to stain glass, or stain glass to glass:

1. Mix Weldbond 5 parts water to 1 part Weldbond. Seal all pieceds of glass with this mixture (only the side that you wish to adhere to). Let dry approx. 1-2 hrs.
   
2. Use the glue full strength only around the outside edges (the perimeter of each glass piece). This will allow the air to evaporate the water from the adhesive that is needed to turn Weldbond crystal clear. Do not do the middle or center of the glass as the edges will dry first preventing evaporation of water from the adhesive.
