Materials Needed
Your Pattern Glass Mould
Mosaic Resist Oil Sand Mix
Cement Mix
Weldbond Universal Adhesive

Pattern
  • Must be ½" smaller than mould
  • Glass facing pattern is the top of your stone
  • Everything is upside down!
  • Draw your pattern on the glass using the inside line …
  • you must have at least a 1/8" gap
  • Cut all glass pieces … grind if necessary
 
Construction:
  • Place mosaic resist on top of pattern
  • Place glass in proper place on pattern
  • Use a razor … cut resist excess away
  • Oil mould and place resist with glass inside mould … resist is on bottom of mould!

Cement …
When mixing your concrete or topping mix, always mix Weldbond with water… (5 to 1 ratio) 5 parts water to 1 part Weldbond. Then use this mixture as the water portion of your Premix cement.



For 16" Hexagonal mould   For 12" Circle
8 cups sand mix   6 cups sand mix
16 cups cement mix   12 cups cement mix

Mix sand mix with 5 parts water to 1 part Weldbond
Make into a thick soupy texture
If using colorant, mix in at this time
Carefully pour sand mix into mould
Spread evenly
Mix cement with 5 parts water to 1 part Weldbond
Pour into mould and smooth
Use a mallet to gently pound bottom of mould and slide …. this releases any air bubbles
